Huawei is a popular smartphone brand across the globe, but we have not seen a big presence here in India. One of the main reasons for this is focusing the company's focus on promoting its sub-brand respect in the Indian market. Now when Honor has made a mark for himself in the market, Huawei has started to improve his presence.

The Chinese smartphone maker recently launched its flagship device, Huwai P20 Pro (review), which has impressed us with the performance of our camera. After this, he launched Nova 3 (review) and Nova 3i, to meet the high-value buyers in the Nova series. While Nova 3 oneplus 6 (review) and Asus Jenfone 5 has gone against the choice of 5 Z, the cost of Nova 3i is Rs. 20, 9 9 where it is facing too much competition. Could this affordable Huevai device stand against the competition? We put it in the test.

Huawei Nova 3i Design

Smartphone manufacturers are also choosing premium content in the mid-range segment. While most of the cost of this device is the game Metal Unibody, Huwai Nova 3i is one glass of some rare people back. This gives it a premium form and experience, and if you make a mistake for one of your expensive siblings then we will not be surprised. Frames and buttons are made of metal, which add to the overall effect of the quality of this smartphone. All buttons are on the right and give good feedback. Power button placement is convenient, but the volume buttons are essential for you to rotate the phone in hand.

On the left side of the phone is the SIM tray. You can see the antenna line running along the bottom and bottom, along with the micro-USB port, headphone jack and speaker grill. At the top of the device there is only secondary microphone. On the front, a 6.3-inch display has a top-level display with dual camera setup and earpiece.

Nova 3i weight is 169g and comes in two colorful forms, black and iris purple. While the Black Review Unit we saw less, we prefer Iris Purple Finnish because it looks unique.

Huawei Nova 3i specifications, software, and features

Like most other Huawei and Honor devices, Nova 3i is powered by an in-house processor. The Huawei Kirin 710 SOC makes its debut with this smartphone. It is an octa-core processor with four ARM Cortex-A73 cores at clock clock at 2.2GHz, and the clock with four Cortex-A53 core at 1.7GHz. 4 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage, which can be expanded using the MicroSD card in the hybrid sim slot. The phone has a full-HD + 6.3-inch display with resolution. It has decent viewing angles and are easy to find out. However, Huwai has not told whether there is any security for the performance or not.

Nova 3i is a dual sim device and has support for dual 4G and Volts. If you are on a call, then it can actively forward incoming calls to the active SIM. You get support for Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi 802.11b / g / n, micro-USB port, and 3.5mm headphone jacks. Huawei has selected 3340 mAh non-removable battery for Nova 3i, and puts 10W charger in the box.

Nova 3i has dual camera setup in front and back. The rear setup has a 16 megapixel primary camera and a 2 megapixel depth sensor, while the selfie setup has a 24-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

In the case of software, Huawei Nova 3i Android 8.1 runs Oreo at the top with Huwai's custom EMUI 8.2. There are several amendments in the stock Oreo interface. Install the apps and they all appear on the homescreen. You have the support for customizing your phone for the theme in this UI. Huawei has preinstalled some apps that include Google apps, Facebook, Messenger and some games. An app called Party Mode lets you sync music between different smartphones. Ride mode allows you to manage calls while driving. You can set it to answer or automatically reject the call with your voice. It also disables Bluetooth and headset, and calls in North loudspeaker mode. This feature proved useful to us while driving, but not riding a bike.

Like many other smartphones with long screens, you have the option of switching to gesture navigation. It needs some time to use it. There is also a face recognition feature that uses a selfie camera to scan your face and unlock the smartphone. It's not the fastest that we've used, and we've liked to unlock the phone using the fingerprint scanner.

There are features like Voice Control and Motion Control which help you communicate with the phone using gestures. HiTouch is a visual assistant that comes built-in, and lets you search for products by pressing two fingers on the screen. This feature uses Amazon Assistant, which you will need to install from the Play Store. It was also available on the Huawei Nova 3, and we got similar results when using it on the Nova 3i.

Huawei Nova 3i display, camera, and battery life

It is easy to scroll through normal operations like homescreen and menus. Thanks to 4GB RAM, the phone does not enable the app to save some reload time in the background and make it easy to multitask. We played Asphalt 9: Legends and PUBG, which is fine without issues in their default settings. PUBG was set to Medium Graphics by default and was playable. We reached it high and found it to be slightly playful but playable. The default setting in asphalt 9 was good graphics and was the stator. We saw that when we started gaming on it the phone would have been warmer, and when we were playing, it would have been warm in the touch.

In our HD video loop, the trial lasted 10 hours and 42 minutes, which is less than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro (review). Nova 3i has kept the inactive battery drain considerably, and there are also many battery saving modes as well as a smart resolution option that reduces the screen resolution to HD +. Our use included an active Whatsapp account, PUBG and Asphalt 9 were playing, and one hour of navigation, we were still left with some power at the end of the day.

Huwai claims AI camera features on Nova 3i. The camera app is fully designed and we have similar to what we saw on Nova 3. It includes aperture, portrait, AR lens, panorama and pro mode, and you can download it more. You also toggle for convenience like AI, Moving Picture and a Google lens, which is called visual shopping, like the Nova 3 powered by Amazon Assistant.
